The Family Court will be abolished and judges will be relocated, in an announcement to be made by Attorney-General Christian Porter today.

But legal groups aren’t fully supportive of the Family Court merging with the Federal Circuit Court.

“It’d be extremely difficult, it’s a really specialist jurisdiction,” Catherine Leach from Leach Legal told 6PR Breakfast.

Attorney General Christian Porter then joined Mornings with Gareth Parker, to explain the rationale behind the changes, and how it may impact WA.
