Changes to stamp duty

Buyers of off-the-plan apartments and units in Western Australia are being offered a 75 per cent transfer duty rebate for the next two years.

The Real Estate Institute says that’ll help the construction sector, while meeting Government targets for urban infill.

Premier Mark McGowan says the exemption will only apply to residential purchases in multi-tiered developments, and will be capped at 50 thousand dollars.
