Bread and (no) butter

Australia’s butter crisis is hitting bakeries with many of them turning to France to supply their buttery needs.

More people are cooking with butter and drinking full fat varieties of milk rather than the skim options these days, but it’s also a deeper issue the President of the National Bakers Industry Association told 6PR Breakfast.

“With drought, but also downward prices of milk has appeared to have reduced a lot of the herd sizes for dairy farmers,” Brett Noy told Steve and Baz.
