Perth’s generosity commended as bushfire victims continue to take stock

The City of Wanneroo and the Lord Mayors’ Relief Fund have both kicked into high gear to help those affected by the recent bushfires in Perth’s north-east.

Financial relief for bushfire victims in Perth’s north will be distributed almost instantly as the City of Wanneroo has already collated a list of households in need of support.

Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas told Millsy and Karl on 6Pr Breakfast the distress relief fund will open for donations later today.

“We’re able to do it virtually straight away, and as more money comes in we will be able to distribute that to the people who need it,” Mr Zempilas said.
