For years, the vet who treated the real Red Dog has been championing for a northwest highway to be named after the famous wandering dog.

Yesterday it was announced the Karratha-Tom Price Road to be named the Manuwarra Red Dog Highway.

Dr Rick Fenny spoke on 6PR Breakfast about the proud moment.
