New research released today reveals that more than 1.3 million Western Australians don’t have a plan for emergencies or wild weather.

The National Roads and Motorist’s Association says the statistics  highlight the critical need for every Australian household to have an emergency plan.

NRMA Insurance Claims Executive Manager Natalie Major told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons having a plan in place could greatly reduce the risk and impact of emergencies.

“I think just having an idea about what you could do to protect yourself and your loved ones is incredibly important,” Ms Major said.
