The Melbourne Storm are favourites to win Sunday’s NRL grand final against the Panthers, and Melbourne’s success is expected to flow on to Queensland in the State of Origin arena.

Nine’s Wide World of Sports commentator and former Storm player Billy Slater told Oliver Peterson Cameron Smith will be controlling the match and could win the Clive Churchill Medal.

“He makes the first decision off every play for the ball and very rarely does he make a wrong decision.”

He also said Cameron Smith is genuinely unsure about whether to retire or play after Sunday’s match.

“Holding the trophy up on Sunday night might just tip him over to finish on that note,” said Slater.
