A new report found the media industry is failing to accurately represent older Australians and the issues they are facing.

Robert Fitzgerald, the Age Discrimination Commissioner, spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead on the need for Australian newsrooms to do better.

“Media reflects the society in which we live and it also shapes perceptions. What we are trying to do is find a better and more balanced narrative around older people,” he said.
