School leavers are abandoning Rottnest Island in droves.

The Island usually attracts thousands of teenagers during leavers week however booking numbers are significantly lower this year.

Michelle Reynolds from the Rottnest Island Authority told Simon Beaumont on Afternoons that it could be because many have already turned eighteen.
