New Fremantle recruit Shane Kersten says he is not concerned by the defensive game plan under Ross Lyon. 

Kersten only met Lyon for the first time during the trade period over a coffee on Fremantle’s cappuccino strip. 

The 23-year-old from South Fremantle returned to the Dockers along with Dog Joel Hamling, Cam McCarthy from the Giants and Hawk Brad Hill.

When asked about the Dockers defensive style which can be low scoring, Kersten said it didn’t factor into his decision. 

‘To be honest, I’m not one to sit there and analyse other teams on-field game plan during the year when I’m watching footy,’ he said. 

‘Whatever game plan they put in front of me, myself and any other new guys that rock up to the club will adapt.

‘I’m happy with whatever is put in front of me.’
