RMIT’s latest report on why the national home buyer’s scheme should be scrapped has sparked debate in the 6PR offices on just how hard it is to live these days.

Phones, cars, food, petrol, housing; everything is more expensive, and wages have stagnated over the same period of time.

6PR producer Sean Lindsay opined to Simon Beaumont onĀ 6PR Mornings Boomers have no right to complain about the relatively easier ride they got to financial security.

“You guys have got your free university, you’ve got your housing grants, you bought your houses on part-time wages, and you’re all in a really good spot. We’re not,” Mr Lindsay said.
