Polling of Australia’s largest automotive cooperative Capricorn Group has revealed over half of respondents say the skills shortage is the most urgent issue.

Simon Bonney owner of Jentec Automotive in Mundaring says he’s had an experienced technician position advertised for two years which he can’t fill.

Mr Bonney told Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live he’s not alone, with other workshops struggling to find qualified people.
