Roger Cook is reportedly in high spirits a day after earning the WA Labor vote for Premier, saying he’s looking forward to diving in to the role.

Still careful with not deeming himself Premier just yet, Mr Cook told 9 News and 6PR reporter Anne Barclay the work of government would continue as usual.

Ms Barclay told Millsy and Karl Mr Cook was receptive to the slate of nicknames the WA public was already giving him.

“I’ve lived with all these nicknames all my life; I’ll take ’em all,” Mr Cook said.
