A Sydney shopping centre has been given the go-ahead to re-open, following a deadly mass stabbing.

Six people were killed in the violent attack at the hands of a 40-year-old Queensland man who was shot dead by police.

Today Show reporter Jack Hahn told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast while the crime scene had been removed, there was still an air of sadness around the area.

“Some of these workers are likely to not go back to work, which you can understand… it took place in their workplace,” Mr Hahn said.
