A new action plan is being launched to eradicate feral cats, after 48 new species joined the endangered list.

Emeritus Professor Biological Sciences at Murdoch University Mike Calver spoke to Gary Adshead on 6PR’s Mornings and said pet cats that roam run all matter of risks.

“Pet Cats that roam have a very high risk of being hit by cars. They have an increased risk of picking up poisons. They are at risk of being savaged by dogs, or even in fact by foxes, which is surprisingly common in some of our suburbs.”
