A parliamentary enquiry will potentially lead to a ban in online gambling advertising, as investigations reveal how incessant gambling addiction is in Australia.

The enquiry has found online gambling advertising is unfairly manipulating an “impressionable and vulnerable audience”.

Independent member for Curtin Kate Chaney is a member of the enquiry, and told Simon Beaumont on 6PR Mornings information is being collected and used to keep vulnerable people on gambling apps.

“They can use that information to create algorithms to get the most money out of you that it can,” Ms Chaney said.
