Gaff better in 2016, says Simpson

Adam Simpson says winger Andrew Gaff has had a better season this year after a 2015 that garnered his first Best and Fairest and an All-Australian guernsey.

The 24-year-old Gaff was included on Monday in the 40-man All-Australian squad after he has averaged 30 possessions per game with 12 games of more than 30 touches.

Gaff was joined in the initial 40 by teammates Josh Kennedy, Jeremy McGovern and Luke Shuey.

‘I think he’s had a better year this year,’ Simpson said.

‘It’s just the three or four weeks when he got knocked out. He missed two weeks and then it took him a couple of weeks to get back going.

‘His influence has been sensational this year.’
