Fremantle Dockers CEO Steve Rosich says there will be a greater range of price options at the new Perth Stadium.

Most of the rhetoric around the move to the new stadium has been that it will come at a greater cost for WA football fans to attend games.

However, Rosich said on 6PR’s Sports Today, there will be cheaper seats than currently available at Domain Stadium.

‘We’re doing a lot of work on the transition to the new Perth stadium. There will be less expensive options available to members than currently,’ Rosich said.

‘There will be a continuum of products available to members. Some of which will be potentially a higher cost than currently at Domain, but many that are lower.

‘That’s really why we’re trying to drive an appropriate deal at the new Perth Stadium to make sure that it’s affordable to go the football.’

The two WA teams rotate the first home game of the season on a turn-for-turn basis.

The West Coast Eagles are scheduled to host the first game in Perth of the 2018 season, which means if the opening game at the new Stadium is a Derby it will an Eagles home game.

When asked whether he would battle against that and endeavour to make it a Dockers home game, Rosich said: ‘We’ll wait and see.’

‘We think it would be a great marketing ploy to have the first home game a Fremantle Dockers home game at the new stadium.’

Fremantle have already gone public with their desire to host the farewell game at Domain Stadium at the end of 2017.
