Conditions in Perth’s northern suburbs are continuing to be a danger for anyone in the area as the bushfire which has already swepth through some suburbs escalates.

6PR reporter Seamus Harrison told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings firefighters are gearing up for another daunting day as they attempt to get the blaze under control.

“Crews will be on the fireground until the incident is resolved, and that could be another five days,” Mr Harrison said.

“Some crews haven’t been able to enter properties, just because the conditions are so dangerous.”

Tapping resident Emma didn’t think too much of the smoke she saw in the distance while returning home from work, but realised how serious the situation was when her power went out.

She was able to evacuate with her family from the area, but through security footage was able to witness the destruction first-hand.

“We were watching from our doorbell camera, and we could see the fireys in our front garden hosing down our house,” Emma said.

“It was bizarre; It’s like something you see in a movie.”
