Peter Ford has told 6PR Breakfast that the Queen has dropped out of attending Royal Ascot for the second year in a row.

Ford spoke live from the United Kingdom, where he is based for the next two weeks for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

“She’s not going to go, not because she’s indicated she’s ill in any way,” he said.

“She just wants to pace herself because she wants to be fit for those two balcony appearances,

“For her to give up going to that, that’s probably the one thing she was really looking forward to attending.”
