Collective effort behind Eagles win

Adam Simpson says a collective effort and improved football brand was behind his team’s first away win in 2016.

West Coast won by eight points over Port Adelaide to record their first win away from Domain Stadium in seven attempts.

Speaking in his weekly spot on 6PR Sports Today, Simpson said the team showed the ‘collective resilience’ they needed to.

‘The collective was the main thing,’ he said.

‘I just thought the brand of footy we played was pretty combative and I think when you do that you tend to drag others with you.

‘It just felt like it was a better style on the weekend than in other interstate games.’
