After running off following a car accident on July 4th, blue heeler Clancy has spent a week in the Coral Bay wilderness, lost and alone.

Thankfully he’s now been found, partly thanks to a searcher hearing the sound of clinking – which turned out to be the seatbelt harness still wrapped around Clancy hitting the side of the water bowl he was drinking out of.

Carnarvon K9 Training Solutions owner Rod Newman told Millsy and Mick they had spotted Clancy a number of times over the days of searching, but were unable to approach him.

“The dog was scared; he just needed time to come out of his shell and realise we were there to help,” Mr Newman said.
