City of Busselton adopts campaign to tag dogs yellow if they need space

A campaign beginning in Europe has made its way to Busselton encouraging owners to tag their dogs with a yellow item or scarf, so other owners know their dog may need to be left alone.

Mayor of Busselton Phill Cronin told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live this is for dogs that may be nervous, a bit shy, injured or a bit older just to give them a way of saying I need some space.

“It gives people that awareness, because that’s where the main problems come from…Like the service dogs or the guide dogs we can see them quite easily,” Cronin said.
