Early learning and childcare centres are facing such a shortage of workers they are being forced to put caps on enrolments, new research has found.

A survey by the Australian Childcare Alliance found that 70 per cent of services in WA were capping enrolments.

ACA President Paul Mondo told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the issue was in turn severely affecting parents’ ability to participate in the workforce.

“We’re working with the unions and the government on supportive bargaining, which I hope will deliver improved outcomes for our educators,” Mr Mondo said.
