A Perth-based celebrity chef has caused a food-related ruckus internationally by banning vegans from his restaurant.

Fyre Restaurant chef John Mountain told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings his stance is not about getting in the face of vegans; he’s simply had enough of being a target.

“I sadly let a vegan diner down and she quite rightly complained,” Mr Mountain said.

“The sad thing is she decided to get personal, question my cooking ability and said my business was going to go bust.”
