You may have never heard of the name, but you will have heard of this man’s voice in movie trailers, including the 2020 film Unhinged with Russell Crowe.

Pete Gustin is a famous American voice-over artist, author and surfer, but the truly remarkable part he shared on Millsy on Midday is that he is blind.

Gustin told Steve Mills that he still deals with the loss of a sense every day but has learnt to embrace it.

“I finally started part of my own healing process (which) was to stop hiding it and to start sharing it,” he said.

“While I feel like I could have sat in my little voice-over booth and read copy for movies and TV shows for the rest of my life, I did feel like if that’s all I did, I was going to be missing out,

“That’s when I decided I was going to get out of this booth and start teaching myself how to surf. I hadn’t even touched a surfboard until my eyesight was almost completely gone.”
