Mitch Marsh has been the saviour of the Australian cricket team early on in the third Ashes test at Headingley, knocking a ton and snatching the game away from England once again.

Nine News sports reporter Paddy Sweeney told Mick and Gena Marsh tallied one of the most memorable Ashes centuries in an “absolutely breathtaking” display.

“Once he got going, there was no stopping him; it was a beautiful display of power,” Mr Sweeney said.

Australia will look to cement their lead as they continue bowling today, currently sitting comfortable with the English at three for 68.
