Australia has held together to pull off an incredible upset win in the first Ashes test at Edgbaston, with skipper Pat Cummins knocking the winning runs.

It was a true test of character for the team against an unusually aggressive English side leaning full-force into their “Bazball” strategy.

Legendary Nine cricket commentator Mark Nicholas told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast it was one of the most nail-biting test matches he’s seen.

“I’m on a high, I’ve seen one of the great games of cricket,” Mr Nicholas said.
