With a national election date set to be announced this week there are reports the Federal Government will increase the pension work bonus by $200 a fortnight.

Currently aged pensioners can earn $300 a fortnight on top their current allowance.

National Seniors Australia chief advocate Ian Henschke says increasing the work bonus would increase revenue for the government and help fix pension poverty.
