A Yallingup man has been recognised for showing a remarkable amount of bravery in saving two children and their uncle from life-threatening surf conditions.

Luke Baldock went to the aid of two children in an overturned dinghy on the mouth Donnelly River.

He told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the rivermouth had broken, and he almost automatically rushed in to save the shaken family.

“I waded out into the ocean to try and give some direction: the driver was very shaken, it was a horrible situation,” Ms Baldock said.
