A leading community advocate has voiced support for prioritising disability parking over seniors’ bays.

Speaking with 6PR Weekends host Chrissy Morrissy, Suresh Rajan said he would like older Australians to be encouraged to maintain their mobility.

“I would much rather councils, like the City of Stirling that has introduced the age bays, get more disability bays in place so that the aged people with disability can still access those bays and really encourage people who are aged to continue to do all of the mobility things that all of our exercise physiologists are telling us to do,” he said.
