Beloved Australian musician Mike Brady has opened up on witnessing a freak flash flood that saw cars swept away at a popular holiday site in regional Victoria.

Speaking to Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast, he says he was near Wye River on the Great Ocean Road when he witnessed the weather event which left cars swept out to sea.

“It’s been one of the most peculiar weather events I’ve ever witnessed … I saw this wave coming down my street, it’s a little street next to the water, next to the ocean,” he said.

“They had a couple of supercells that dumped thousands upon thousands of tons of water in a very dense area,” he added.
