Lancelin has lost another 5m of beach in the last six weeks, bringing the total loss to about 50m over the past four to five years.

Ruth March, Executive Manager Operations and Assets, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that infrastructure has been damaged and residents are concerned.

“We were completely unaware that the erosion was going to be that significant at this location,” she said.
