Vulnerabilities exposed after 17 year old allegedly infiltrates a plane armed with a knife and gun

A 17-year-old boy has allegedly cut through a fence at a Sydney airport and made his way onto a plane with a knife and a shotgun.

Richard De Crespigny, former Qantas pilot and author of QF32, explains to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl how this incident, though a near miss, has highlighted some real vulnerabilities that could affect all Australian airports.

“I think to bulletproof the airports going into the future, this incident’s going to require at least a billion dollars around Australia to bring the airports up to standard,” he said
