Simon Beaumont

Three employees of Resolute Mining, including Perth-based CEO Terry Holohan, have been detained by authorities in Mali, West Africa.

6PR’s Gary Adshead spoke to Julian Malnic, Chairman of the Sydney Mining Club and a colleague of Terry Holohan, providing insights into the circumstances and possible motivations of the military-controlled government of Mali.

“This kind of behaviour is pretty short-sighted, and it could lead to, as in many African nations, a Chinese entry,” he said.
