More than 100,000 people are still waiting for home care packages — despite a recent drop.

The federal government last month announced $496 million in additional funding for measures including thousands of additional home care packages.

National Seniors chief executive Ian Henschke told Andrew Williams says these figures show the response to the interim report from the aged care royal commission hasn’t gone far enough.
