Veterans take on PTSD funding
Steve Coghlan is one of six contemporary veterans who’re tackling the 96km Kokoda Trail in March 2018 to raise funds for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.
The ex servicemen each have friends who’ve struggled with PTSD, attributed either directly to their service or because of the transition from war into civilian life.
The team aim to raise $100,000 for an innovative program new to WA that sees jailed inmates training rescued dogs.
Jane talked to Steve about the program on The Weekender.
