The inaugural WA Police Excellence Awards were initiated in 2014, in partnership with Nine News Perth, in recognition of the hard work police officers contribute to our community.

The officers nominated highlight that police work is both varied and challenging and greatly affects people from all walks of life. Policing is not only a job; it is a way of life. Recognising a police officer or police team with a nomination reinforces that members of the police are not simply uniforms, but also community members who share the same concerns as others.

The Awards will continue in 2023 to promote and acknowledge police officers and the valuable work that they do in keeping Western Australia a safe and secure place.

Do you know an outstanding police officer or police team?

If you know of a WA Police Force officer or team who has excelled at their job, nominate them now and help us recognise and celebrate the dedication, courage and commitment to their duty presented by police officers all over the state.

WA Police Force Commissioned Officers (Inspector rank and above) are not eligible for the awards.

Who judges the awards?

The rigorous judging process will see submissions delivered to a panel of representatives from our event sponsors and senior police personnel. The judging panel will validate the claims and score each entry against a selection of criteria and provide advice on the nominees’ suitability for the awards.
