Poppy was surrendered to the RSPCA along with her 3 puppies, after their owner could no longer care for them all properly. Poppy and her pups went to live with one of our wonderful foster carers, now she's back and ready for her new forever home. Poppy is a fearful girl that takes a while to get to know you. It does take a while for her to warm, but is quick to trust. Dog training would be perfect for helping build her confidence levels, but we wouldn't suggest this until she's settled with her new owners (4-5 months). Poppy needs a calm household, with an experienced dog owner. She's fearful of raised hands, and shouting even when not directed at her. Poppy will need more attention than some of the dogs in our kennels, but she's more than worth the extra effort and deserves a better life than she's had so far.
