RSPCA Pet of the Week - Sandy
Sandy was brought to the RSPCA by Inspectors after she was surrendered to a local vet by her owners who no longer wanted her. Which is a mystery because Sandy is a lovely girl who just needs a few training sessions to get her social skills up to scratch. At two years old, she’s a wonderfully friendly dog who is obsessed with her hamburger squeaky toy, which she carries around with her everywhere!
Sandy is a big girl and we’re not exactly sure what breed she is but we suspect she has some Lab in her and possibly – judging by the shape of her head – Rottie, which is a great combination as both breeds are very intelligent and extremely sociable.
She’s a dog who loves to smooch around and we’re very confident that she will benefit greatly from some dog training.
The RSPCA recommend Sandy go to a home where she is the only dog as she is used to being a solo canine. Because Sandy is a big girl, the Society also recommends she go to a home with older children.
If you think Sandy could be your new best mate, contact the RSPCA on 9209 9300 or visit them at 108 Malaga Drive, Malaga. Alternatively, have a look at their website at www.rspcawa.asn.au
