Rail plan light on facts

The State Government wants us to get behind the plans for a light rail system for Perth but can't tell us where the funding for it will come from. Steve Mills spoke to Transport Minister Troy Buswell about the plan for Metropolitan Area Express (MAX) light rail plan.

Mr Buswell says we have to act now to avoid more congestion in the future but it was a promise that residents from Ellenbrook have heard before.

The one billion dollar proposal has been criticised by the opposition, for costing too much, and Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi who says some of the planned routes are too narrow to accommodate light-rail.
