Faulty cameras to be replaced

UPDATE: There was a batch of security cameras installed on taxi’s in WA that are faulty; water was able to get inside the cameras and render them unusable. Olwyn Williams CEO of the Taxi Council of WA told Howard Sattler they are working with manufacturers to replace all faulty cameras.

Howard Sattler spoke to taxi driver Neil Schofield who forked out $1000 for the camera on the outside of his taxi. He recently had his taxi broken into recently and when he went to have the footage reviewed, they couldn’t get any as water had got into the camera. This sort of problem has happened to a number of taxi drivers.
