60% of school ovals unsafe

Students at 60% of Perth's public schools can't use their school ovals because the Education Department has deemed them unsafe. Paul Murray spoke to the Chairman of Turf Australia, Adrian Pitsikas who said many of ovals are unusable for sport.

Mal Parr form the Department of Education who heads the Strategic Asset Maintenance branch responded.
Mr Parr said the issue wasn't new and was really an issue surrounding the parramatta grass.
