Gvt cost cutting ruining lives
A few weeks ago, Gosnell's resident Jemma Neal received a letter saying her Special Child Care Benefit was being stopped because she wasn't abusive towards her children. Jemma was receiving 50 hours per week of at home care for her dying three year old son, and can now only receive the assistance if her child is at risk of abuse or neglect. Jemma and Sussan Ley, Shadow Childcare and Early Childhood Minister, spoke to Howard Sattler about the changes made by the Family Assistance Office.
