Dean Solomon will miss Sunday’s game against Carlton at Subiaco Oval after being suspended for one week by the club.

The club became aware yesterday that Solomon had put himself in a position to detract from his preparation for this weekend’s game during a club-approved extended stay in Melbourne after last Saturday’s Collingwood clash.

The club had discussions with Solomon yesterday and again today.

Senior coach Mark Harvey said that as a result of those discussions it was determined that Solomon be suspended for one week.

"In this instance, Dean hasn’t demonstrated the level of professionalism that we expect and require of a senior member of our playing group," he said.

"Dean accepts that his actions detracted from his preparation for this weekend’s game."
