Will Kim make a comeback?

Bob's Blog Rumblings in the Australian Labor Party continue after the ALP's pathetic campaign for the recent state election.

Right now, leadership is the big problem. Eric Ripper is the current compromise leader, Ben Wyatt is waiting to step in. Problem is, a number of Ben's colleagues are disappointed with his performance.

A scenario being touted is the return of Kim Beazley. At age 60 Kim Beazley would seem an unlikely possibility, but the man is an intellectual giant, scandal free, well known to Western Australians, and a class above anyone else in state Labor ranks.

Blog comments Your Say

  • Bob, you should write a song about the time you went to Roe Street while still in short pants, i cant remember how much you had, was it two and six pence. You could call it the 2 and a half zac.
For 2 and a half zac, i had great craic, with a wild eyed Irish girl in a room out back. She told you her name was Rose, standing naked she set a nice pose. But you said Rose, i'm a kid in short pants and i'm here to give you my lance.
lmao. Heard your song on the breakfast, oh Bob it was crap ha ha ha ha, best laugh since i left WA.

  • Dear Bob,please not Kim,he like Ripper is yesterdays man, surely to go one of the younger one can take over why not Wyatt.
I assume the ones saying he is no good are the same ones who stuffed up the last election, take their orders off factional hacks, and have not uttered a sensible word or had an original thought in their entire time in Parliament.
Apart from Alania none of the present front bench is worth feeding, I am talking about the old guard, give the new members a go.

  • wouldn't vote for Ripper if he was the last man standing , and much as I love Kim as a person, why would you even consider putting him through that hell again, hasn't hr suffered enough ,,,,ps great to have you back

  • Bob, please dont ressurect the dead carcess of Beazley.
The man talks down to people, he lives on a different planet to the rest of us, he's a proven loser.
Leave him were ever he is, hes bludged of the Aussie people for far to long.
