The Water Corporation has begun passing the carbon tax cost onto consumers.

Listeners called 6PR today to inform us their latest Water Corporation rates bill includes a 0.8% carbon tax fee. Howard Sattler spoke to Manager for Customer Centre at the Water Corporation Riley Nelson and Opposition Climate Change spokesman Greg Hunt.

  • Its sad to see that we Australians are being charged a carbon tax on water especially when the water comission cant supply water to our needs.for the last few years water restrictions have been in place, this year we are not permitted to use our bores.its about time that our so called leaders of this country stopped thinking about how to take more money of us and start thjinking how to resolve problems like our water. If our government do not act possitivly about constructing a water pipe line from the North west it will be to late.Im sorry to say this but Australian citizen should stop work and protest for as long as it takes to get a resolveb to real problems and this rip off carbon tax
