To change or not to change?
Today is Australian National Flag Day. John Vaughan from ANFA told Howard Sattler it is a very important day for Australians but Harold Scruby of Ausflag says less than one per cent of the population would know what today is and it's about time we changed the flag.

The present flag has led us through a century of develpment that has made this nation greater then its size would expect us to be.
It indicates how we punch above our weight.
May it never change.

Please do not change the flag it is our history. The aboriginal flag is their flag andwe should accept it. Therefore should allow us to have ours. Deleting the our traditional flag is taking away our sovereignity, history in relation to the Eureka Stockade and early settlers. Taking away the Queen and the Commonwealth from our heritage and making us a republic opens the door for socialism to step in.

Offcourse it goes without saying the Australian flag should never be changed! End of debate.
But... it is about time we get ONE only indigenous flag and not only fly the Aboriginal flag in spite of the Torres Straight Islanders. It is very politically incorrect and very abusive to other indigenous people of this country.Hans van de Zandt Wednesday 5 September, 2012 - 11:21 AM
