Sex for taxi fares common
Taxi driver Prabhjit Gill was acquitted of raping a drunk female passenger who was in his friend's cab. Mr Gill said its commonplace for people to offer to pay for their taxi fares with sex. Samantha was a taxi driver for 30 years and told Howard Sattler she has lost count of the number of times she was offered sex by male passengers.

Get real Graham you are now the Judge jury and executioner, did you attend the court to hear the evidence, you are obviously smarter than the jury or so you think.I know several women who have been asked by taxi drivers for sex in return for no fare paid.

This woman has put a man in jail and wrecked the life of another man, who was found Not Guilty. Her name is suppressed. Their names and faces are all over the news. She is not accountable for her actions. She cannot be named or photographed. She had a public prosecutor put her case for free. The names of both accused men were announced in the media from day one of the trial. Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence?
I hope that the legal profession offers pro bono advice to the man convicted; on the prospects of an appeal. The complainant's evidence is incredible and the jury's verdict is perverse. On her evidence, you either had to convict them both, or acquit them both. Her complaint involved conduct by both of them in a way that was intertwined; i.e. they both were involved in the sexual assault. The jury has reached a compromise verdict that is at odds with the evidence. The two verdicts cannot be reconciled. Illogical verdicts by a jury is a well known ground for appeal.
