Geoff Diver wants mental health deaths investigated in the public arena.

Geoff Diver says he has quit a panel set up to increase transparency in the mental health system because he believes the Health Department is only interested in self preservation and not accountability. Geoff, who lost his daughter to suicide, spoke to Paul Murray.

  • Discharge after discharge...we know the drill...It's a miracle my Brother has survived the discharges from hospitals over the years. Geoff Driver is a courageous man and thank you to both Mr Diver and 6PR for covering this issue. The system needs to respond more humanely to people and families when they have loved ones who are unwell. My family totally understands the frustration. It's just not good enough. Confidentiality is certainly used to disengage families when things get too hard!
